Case Study: University of AlbertaThis 25 MW co-generation plant with a 25 MW steam turbine (down exhaust) is located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The plant was placed into commercial operation in 2001 to serve the university campus. The ACC designed for this project by GEA had to meet extreme cold weather conditions and provide for a "standby" mode at night. GEA recommended an ACC comprised of four cells in a 1x4 configuration.
